Music & books

Pitchfork's summer reading list - something for all the family!

My eye was especially caught by The Rock Snob's Dictionary: An Essential Lexicon of Rockological Knowledge:
Since you're reading this website, chances are you're already a Rock Snob. Or you're intimately familiar with the habits of "the sort of pop connoisseur for whom the actual enjoyment of music is but a side dish to the accumulation of arcane knowledge about it." And you probably think you don't need no stinkin' Rock Snob's Dictionary, written by a couple of middle-aged white guy Vanity Fair staffers, to list Every Important Artist Ever and to tell you why Nick Drake and Sun Ra are important.

But oh, you do. You really do.
